Netflix tests new Mobile+ plan with HD streaming, laptop support
The new Netflix plan is currently in testing so everyone may not see it. This subscription plan supports HD streaming on any phone, tablet or even computer. But it can be used on only one device at a time. This is the second mobile plan Netflix has introduced in India. Netflix launched its first mobile plan priced at ₹199 last year with support for SD (Standard Definition) streaming.
The new Netflix plan which was first spotted by Android Pure, is actually cheaper than the basic Netflix plan priced at ₹499 per month. The basic Netflix plan also doesn’t have support for HD content and can be used on one device at a time. The only difference here is that on this plan users can watch Netflix on TV.
The new Netflix plan seems like a much better deal than the basic plan. If users exclude watching Netflix on TV, the Mobile+ plan has better perks and it's cheaper too.
Netflix has two more subscription plans for Indian users. The standard plan is priced at ₹649 per month, and it comes with HD streaming and support for two devices. The most expensive one is the ₹799 premium plan that lets users watch 4K, HDR content and supports UHD streaming. Also, this Netflix plan supports four devices at a time.
